Nobrux against breast cancer

Nobrux is launching its campaign in Spain, joining the fight against breast cancer. In partnership with the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), we are allocating €10,000 a year for three years to co-fund Dr Gema Moreno’s research project, ‘Development of new therapies for patients with HER2+ breast cancer’, which focuses on developing better drugs to prevent tumour resistance and metastasis. In addition, a channel has been set up via the AECC’s website to facilitate voluntary donations.

We are continuing our commitment in Spain, which began last year, by maintaining our financial support for Dr Gema Moreno’s project with a further €10,000 as part of the agreed multi-year co-funding. This initiative is accompanied by new content and materials that help raise awareness of the cause and encourage participation from all areas of the company.

The campaign is taking it a step further and crossing borders. France is joining the initiative through the Fondation ARC, donating €10,000 to Dr Camille Attané’s project, “Combating the formation of metastases from triple-negative breast cancers”, which investigates the role of fat cells in the aggressiveness of triple-negative breast cancer.

In Spain, we are concluding the third and final year of our collaboration with Dr Gema Moreno, celebrating the positive results achieved in her research.

Spain is renewing its partnership with the AECC, this time to support Dr Fara Brasó’s project, which focuses on identifying new vulnerabilities that will enable resistance to be overcome in metastatic breast cancer.

For its part, France is continuing its involvement alongside the Fondation ARC, co-funding the work of Alexis Gautreau’s team, “Urgence Cancers Agressifs (Triple-Négatifs)”, which is studying a molecular switch involved in the migration of cancer cells via the cytoskeleton.

The campaign reaches a new milestone in its international journey.

Belgium is joining for the first time through Think Pink’s SMART Fund, with a contribution of €5,000 earmarked for innovative research focused on the early detection, treatment and monitoring of breast cancer.

The Netherlands has joined the initiative, alongside Pink Ribbon, with a donation of €5,000 earmarked for projects covering scientific research, prevention and patient support.

In Spain, we are renewing our support for the second consecutive year for the project led by Dr Fara Brasó, which seeks new ways to overcome resistance in metastatic breast cancer.

France is maintaining its commitment through the Fondation ARC, co-funding Dr Étienne Brain’s new study: “Mieux guider le choix de la chimiothérapie chez les femmes de plus de 70 ans”, which focuses on improving treatment decisions for older women affected by this disease.

This year, Nobrux is supporting new research projects in Spain and France.

France: research to prevent certain types of breast cancer and improve the accuracy of screening.
