From 13 to 15 October, Corus attended the 50+1 SEPES Annual Congress, which brought 2,100 attendees to Gran Canaria. During the congress, clinical training and research grants were awarded for stomatological prosthetics and dental aesthetics, with prizes for the best communications entered and for social action projects for dental care among members of the population at the highest risk of social exclusion, awarded annually by SEPES.

Corus fosters the development of dental professionals and their differentiation through scientific and technical training given by highly reputed professionals at our training centres and in partnership with universities and higher-education centres. We are therefore proud to announce that, this year, two of our partner university projects received awards at SEPES.

Beatriz Anita, student on the Master of Restorative Dentistry Based on New Technologies at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), won the Best Clinical Oral Communication award. Following a year’s work, Anita presented her clinical oral communication entitled “Fully digital rehabilitation of a patient with erosive wear using the three-step technique with V-shaped veneers: a case report” in partnership with Corus Dental.

Guillermo Galván Lobo, student on the Master of Integrated Adult Dentistry at the University of Barcelona (UB), won the Best Clinical Poster Communication award. Galván presented his study entitled “Monolithic zirconia unitary posterior crowns: randomised control trial”, produced in partnership with three organisations: UB (via the MIA master’s degree), responsible for acquiring and monitoring the patients and the study; the company Avinent, which provided materials; and Corus, as manufacturer of the prosthetic part.
